My New Book, STRIPPED, Is Here!
I have been waiting months to write this blog post and I can finally say it! My brand new book, STRIPPED: A Collection of Inspired Writings for the Evolving Woman is here!
STRIPPED is a collection of inspired writings and poetry that celebrates the power of vulnerability and the magic that happens when we decide to commit to our own personal evolution, live authentically, and bare it all. Think of it as “poetic personal development” (did I just create my own genre!? I think so!) Click here to check it out.
I have been working relentlessly behind the scenes for the past 5 months on this project and keeping it under wraps has been the hardest thing ever. Allow me to back it up and fill you in on what’s been going on…
Back in April, I began writing poems and short, inspired pieces of writing. You may have seen some of them on Instagram like these or these. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve been posting bits of inspiration on Instagram for years now, but it wasn’t until recently that my writing started to feel more like art to me than just punchy power quotes.
And it was not exactly planned. I can best describe the work inside STRIPPED as divine inspiration. This poetry came to me like magic. The words would wake me up at night, and consume me during the day. I kept a notepad open on my phone and wrote constantly: on the subway, walking down the street, in the bath tub, in my head while riding in my SoulCycle classes, literally everywhere.
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
I began exploring what I could do with this newfound passion for poetry and wordplay, and decided I would keep a private library of these writings, posting some online to a) gauge whether or not they totally sucked and b) to see if you guys were feeling them the way I was.
The feedback I received was incredibly supportive. Your comments and messages helped push me out of my comfort zone and take a chance on something totally new like this. I saved so many of them, they truly kept me going!
The idea was to save up somewhere around 100 pieces (most of which you guys have not seen on my Instagram page yet) and then surprise release this book when it was ready. Though I have self-published four bestselling books before, poetry is brand new territory for me. As nerve-wracking as this whole process has been, it’s been worth every second. I have felt every emotion possible in the past few months: terror, excitement, anxiety, exhilaration, and pure happiness sit high atop the list. Anxiety is right up there, for the record!
But I know as a creative entrepreneuress, I must practice what I preach. I must continue to evolve, face my fears, and lead by example. I must continue to innovate and try new things. And most importantly, I must continue to be me.
The theme of STRIPPED is vulnerability. This year has been a journey in committing to vulnerability, spaciousness for truth, self-acceptance, and love. Through sharing my own personal evolution, I have discovered that as women, we’re all craving the opportunity to peel back the layers. So many of us are ready to remove our masks and to live authentically, without fear and without apology.
STRIPPED sets out to celebrate the power of being vulnerable and the magic that occurs when we decide to bare it all. Because life gets a hell of a lot better when we drop heaviness and take off the things we don’t want to carry anymore.
I wanted STRIPPED to look and feel like art. My husband and I worked tirelessly to artfully design both the cover and the interior so that we could fully capture the essence of this book. It had to be vibrant, feminine, and inspiring. I wanted it to be a beautiful keepsake that every woman could store in her handbag or on her nightstand and reference whenever she needed a boost of inspiration. Whether she was lazing on a Sunday morning in her PJ’s or reading it on her way to work and needing something to help her feel more empowered and less alone.
I also wanted the book to make a beautiful gift. I I love giving and receiving thoughtful and unique presents, and I knew STRIPPED would be just that.
But most importantly, I wanted you to feel the magic while reading it, that I felt while writing it.

I want to thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart for constantly supporting my work. It means the world to me and honestly gives me the courage and strength to keep doing what I do.
I hope that you love reading STRIPPED as much as I loved creating it.
With love and gratitude,
