How to Create Your Champagne Life on a Prosecco Budget
Whenever I talk about creating a “Champagne Life” I get a very similar comment: that sounds expensive. And I can understand why! When we talk about champagne, a myriad of words come to mind. Glamour, luxury, celebrity, indulgence are just a few thoughts that a glass of champagne might bubble up (pun totally intended). And while channeling your inner Zsa Zsa Gábor can be ultra fab, that’s not what I’m talking about here. Creating a Champagne Life has very little to do with money and very much to do with self-worth.
The main concept behind The Champagne Diet is creating a lifestyle that invites only the best of the best: the best relationships, the best work, the best foods, the best friends, the list goes on. It also means celebrating life every single day. And the best part? It is completely possible to elevate your every day with just a few small intentional, inexpensive tweaks.
When is the last time you took a long, peaceful bubble bath? Or turned off your phone and read a book for a half hour? Or bought yourself a beautiful bouquet of flowers? Only until you value yourself enough to indulge in the things that make you happy are you able to tap into the deepest part of yourself. The part that is creative, exciting, joyful and grateful every single day.
I’ve had a busy couple of days, so I knew that yesterday I had to clear out some time for myself. I picked up a bottle of Yellowtail pink bubbly (which retails for just about $10 bucks and happens to be deeeee-licious), lit my candles, and relaxed with my feet up next to my little bouquet of $8 silk flowers I found at TJ Maxx. I spent the early evening setting my intentions for the week and letting go of all the stress and thoughts that do not serve me (which luckily is completely free to do. Seriously. Dreaming and planning has no price tag yet it’s so costly not to do it).
